Customizable Boundaries to Fit any Yard
Guaranteeing Pet Containment With Professional Training
At Dog Guard of Ohio, we've developed a proven training program to help pet owners introduce their dogs to our electric pet fence system. Unlike using flags, our system utilizes audio signals and mild correction stimuli to establish a secure boundary for your pet.
During the initial two weeks after installation, we recommend that dog owners dedicate fifteen minutes, twice daily, to walking their dogs on a leash around the perimeter where the underground boundary is set. If your dog attempts to cross the boundary, firmly say "NO!" and gently guide them back, then reward them for staying within bounds.
Following this training regimen consistently will help your dog quickly learn the boundary. Once they're familiar, you can remove the flags, and your dog will understand the limits without visual cues.
Once activated, entering the reminder zone (3 to 6 feet from the signal wire) triggers either an audio signal or a gentle correction, alerting your pet that they're approaching the boundary.
