How Dog Guard Electric Fences Work
Do you want to ensure your dog's safety by controlling their access to rooms, stairs, or specific areas like the right litter boxes? Are you seeking solutions to keep your dog secure outdoors, including around pools and driveways? Look no further than Dog Guard of Ohio.
We provide customizable electronic dog fencing installation that can include or exclude any area you desire. Our electric fences keep your dog safely within the designated perimeter while allowing them the freedom to roam within these boundaries.
Protecting 250,000+ Dogs
The Dog Guard of Ohio electric fence keeps your dog safely within a boundary created by a thin wire surrounding the perimeter. This wire does not carry an electric current, ensuring your dog is free from any risk of electrocution.
Your pet wears a comfortable collar equipped with a small receiver that detects the radio signal. When your dog enters the radio signal zone, the collar emits a high-pitched alarm. If your dog persists and moves further into the zone, the collar delivers a harmless static impulse, effectively guiding them back into the safe area.
Professional Dog Training and The Best Customer Service in the Industry
At Dog Guard of Ohio, we provide top-quality and dependable dog fencing systems designed and engineered to meet your specific needs and those of your dog.
Once the electric fence is installed, we take the extra step to train your dog, walking them around the perimeter and introducing them to the gentle correction stimulus.
Our electric fencing systems at Dog Guard of Ohio are competitively priced, ensuring your dog's safety without straining your budget.

Customizable Boundaries to Fit any Yard
Professional Training Included to Ensure Pet Containment
Our system begins by marking the boundary with flags, providing a visual line for your pet. For two weeks, we recommend spending fifteen minutes, twice daily, walking your dog on a leash around the flag boundary. If your dog approaches the flags, firmly say "NO!" and redirect them away while offering plenty of praise for correct behavior.
Using this method, your dog quickly learns the boundary's location. Once they're familiar, the flags can be removed. Once activated, if your pet enters the reminder zone (3 to 6 feet from the signal wire), they'll receive your choice of an audio signal or a gentle correction stimulus, signaling they're nearing the boundary.
Our experienced pet behavior specialists will guide you and your pet through the initial training phase, ensuring clarity in training techniques and boundary understanding.
